For any language learner, a dictionary is considered an essential tool and most of them simply perceive it as a means of translating words. Reliability
In many available dictionaries, word translations and classifications may not always perfectly match the original meaning of the word. However, in the Wisdom dictionary, over a period of five years, each translation has been meticulously done by utilizing reputable dictionaries such as Oxford, MacMillan, Collins, Cambridge, and Longman in a specialized manner.

A Fresh Uzbek-English Approach!

Grammar
Knowing the dictionary meaning of words is not sufficient for their correct usage. Certain words have their own grammatical features and rules of use. Recognizing this fact, the Wisdom dictionary includes a Grammar section for each word where grammatical rules specific to that word are explained in detail with straightforward explanations and relevant examples.

Word Combinations (Collocations)
One of the biggest challenges for learners nowadays is not knowing correct word collocations in English which ultimately leads to artificial combinations. For instance, put fire is certainly not correct; it should be put out fire instead of put fire out; start fire - ignite fire; go out fire - extinguish fire wouldn't work. In the Wisdom dictionary, this aspect has been noted and a Collocations section has been included to prevent learners from making such mistakes. In this section, examples are provided in groups to illustrate the correct combinations of those words.(To understand the correct classification of word pairs mentioned above, refer to Collocations section under the word fire.)

Lexical Differences
In English as well as in other languages, there are words that may seem similar but can't be used interchangeably due to nuanced differences in meaning. For example: listen versus hear; house versus home; make versus do; work versus job; distinguishing between these and other similar words is possible. Considering this fact, the Wisdom dictionary guides learners through those nuances and differences with simple explanations and examples in its Thesaurus and Difference sections.
